The situation related to coronavirus caused a real rash of all products that are described as virucidal, bactericidal and fungicidal and intended for the disinfection of hands, surfaces and devices. Not all of them are of the right quality and instead of helping, they can harm our health even more. How to recognize them?
The fastest way to check if a product has been tested by public health and approved for its use is on the website of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products: http://www.urpl.gov.pl/pl/produkty-biob%C3 0% B3jcze-
The website has a list of tested products approved for use. If the product is not on this list, it cannot be used as a virucidal, bactericidal or fungicidal product.
Having access to the product label, we can easily check whether its description includes the Biocide Marketing Authorization Number issued by the Office. The lack of this number disqualifies the product as being approved for general use.
